Feedback to NSW Government regarding proposed expansion of NSW Industrial Relations Commission powers regarding gig economy and road transport industry

On 7 March 2025, Ai Group provided feedback to the NSW Government regarding the proposed Industrial Relations Amendment (Transport Sector Gig Workers and Others) Bill 2025. The draft bill proposes to extend chapter 6 of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 (NSW) to ‘gig economy’ workers, as well as transport companies with fewer than 5 vehicles.
