Transitional restrictions are now in place for the areas of Perth, the Peel Region and Rottnest Island (the affected area). It is intended that these restrictions will be in place until 12 July 2021, with aim of returning to pre-lockdown conditions at that time.
Face masks continue to be a requirement in indoor spaces (unless an exception applies) and in outdoor spaces where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Restrictions on public facing activities have been eased.
Movement is allowed into other parts of Western Australia but a person who has been in the affected area must wear a face covering. There are also some restrictions on movement if a person has been to an exposure site or has been notified that they are a close contact.
