The lockdown of the City of Brisbane and Moreton Bay will cease at 6pm on 3 July 2021. The lockdown ended for all other local government areas at 6pm on 2 July 2021.

Residents of the locked down area (City of Brisbane and Moreton Bay) must continue to comply with the relevant Directions until 6pm on 3 July 2021.

Residents of the impacted area (local government areas that are leaving lockdown) are required carry a mask and wear it whenever outside the house unless an exclusion applies. Restrictions continue to apply to private gatherings, and some additional restrictions apply to restricted businesses, activities and undertakings.

In her media conference today the Premier emphasised that restrictions will continue to be in place until 16 July 2021, as well as the importance during this time of:

• staying home if sick and getting tested;
• wearing a face mask;
• using the QR code check-in system; and
• unvaccinated people over 70 limiting their time in public.
